GalSim Toolkit for LabVIEW
GalSim Toolkit for LabVIEW is a Galileo RF signal simulator, based on National Instruments hardware. GalSim Toolkit for LabVIEW is a joint development of Carya Automatisering and Ursa Minor Space & Navigation
When used with National Instruments signal generator NI 5671 (comprising of NI PXI-5610 and a NI PXI-5441), the GalSim Toolkit will generate an RF signal emulating the Galileo E1 signal. Galileo is the new European Global Navigation Satellite System. The Galileo E1 components are generated with the following capability.
Generated signals have been tested with a Septentrio PolaRx3G receiver, which is able to track the simulated Galileo signal. This verifies the compatibility of the implemented E1B and E1C BOC(1,1) components with the Galileo signal in space specification.
The Galileo E1 components are generated with the following capability.
|Galileo E1C||Both primary and secondary codes are implemented for all available satellites using cBOC modulation. The user may choose the satellite to be emulated.|
|Galileo E1B||Primary code is implemented for all available satellites using cBOC modulation. The user may choose the satellite to be emulated. Navigation data is implemented as synchronisation patterns plus random data.|
|Galileo E1A||Implemented with random data. Since NI PXI-5441 is used, limited sampling rate means that bandwidth is limited such that this component is not generated in a spectrally representative manner. This should not affect non-PRS receivers.|
|Centre Frequency||1.57542 GHz|
|IQ Rate||8.33 MHz|
